Introducing this undeniable Five Ways classic, an absolute crowd-pleaser. This seasonal coffee, sourced from Brazil with our friends at Falcon Coffees, selected and expertly roasted by our team to highlight the very best that Brazil has to offer. And trust us, we mean the absolute best! Allow us to introduce Fazenda Rancho Grande, a farm driven by a steadfast mission to responsibly cultivate coffee of unparalleled quality while diligently upholding environmental stewardship and employee welfare. Embracing innovation, Fazenda Rancho Grande has made substantial investments in multiple static drying boxes, elevating the caliber and flavour profile of their coffee offerings. This marks our third year of partnership with Jose and Flavio from Rancho Grande, as we continue to work together in 2023. Their unwavering commitment to perfection extends throughout every step of the coffee production process, from cultivation and careful picking to the post-harvest treatment. Once the beans are plucked at the peak of ripeness, they undergo a process of separation based on density, ensuring only the finest specimens make the cut. These chosen beans are then pulped, expertly removing almost all the mucilage, and carefully transported to the patios where they bask in the sun for a period of 7 to 10 days. Tasting Notes: chocolate, nutty, balanced Roast Type: Espresso We roast weekly to order. Shipping takes place every Thursday and Friday. Order before Tuesday to ensure delivery within the week.

The Five Points blend has undergone a development process spanning nearly half a decade. The outcome is an exceptional raspberry fruit-dominated composition, complemented by a pleasant milk chocolate sweetness that counterbalances the fruit like acidity, resulting in a harmonious blend. The fusion of two contrasting elements, which possess their own distinct merits, yields a formidable union. Our blending philosophy is to accentuate the finest qualities of each element. In this instance, we have chosen a Natural Brazil and a Washed Colombia. However, the intricacies and variability of coffee profiles intensify when considering seasonality. As the seasons transition, so do the characteristics of each coffee. To mitigate this challenge and ensure consistency, every component is subjected to a unique roast profile, refined through an extensive series of roasting trials. The Brazil is roasted to emphasise body and chocolatey sweetness, while the Colombia is roasted to highlight its vibrant sweet raspberry acidity. Our roasting team thinks this blend truly excels when used for espresso. However, if you opt to incorporate milk, you will be treated to hints of caramel and milk chocolate. We encourage you to be playful with the recipe! Enjoy! This one is a firm favourite! This blend is used at Five Ways East location. Tasting Notes: Raspberry fruit bomb, Cacao and Sherbet Roast Type: Espresso We roast weekly to order. Shipping takes place every Thursday and Friday. Welcome to the Five Ways caffeine addiction rehabilitation page! Here, we provide you with the solution to overcome those unpleasant "shakes" while still savouring the familiar taste you love. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the sugarcane process for making this possible. The Sugarcane process has emerged as a novel technique, prompting intrigue and raising doubts about its true nature as a decaffeinated option. This innovative approach harnesses ethyl acetate (EA), a naturally occurring by-product derived from sugar production (molasses). The process is simple and and follows these steps: The coffee beans are moistened with water and EA is circulated throughout. During this process, ethyl acetate interacts with the caffeine within the coffee bean, extracting the caffeine while preserving the majority of the flavour compounds. Once the desired caffeine level is achieved, the beans undergo a steaming process to eliminate any remaining residue of ethyl acetate. Natural EA is obtained from the sugar cane industry around Palmira, Colombia and is, together with spring water, the only other substance the coffee gets in contact with. Regret free decaf! You have to try it to believe it. Tasting Notes: Brown sugar, black currant and creamy Roast Type: Espresso You won’t believe this is caffeine free! You’ll have to experience it for yourself…. We dare you. We roast weekly to order. Shipping takes place every Thursday and Friday. Order before Tuesday to ensure delivery within the week.

FRUIT JUICE IS BACK! We've heard the cries when this lot last year finished but don't worry it's back! This coffee comes from the mountains of Pitalito, Huila, Colombia, where coffee is the lifeblood of 18,000 families. Grown at Buenos Aires farm, this microlot features the Bourbon Sidra variety at 1,800 meters above sea level. Cherries are harvested at peak ripeness with Brix degrees of 24–26, hand-sorted to remove defective beans, then undergo 48 hours of oxidation, A thermal shock is made at a temperature of 50°C and it is introduced in sealed plastic baskets to initiate the anaerobic fermentation. They are mechanically dried for 12 hours, then sun-dried for 15 days to preserve all the vibrant, juicy complexity. Don't sleep on this banger. Hands down! This is one of our favourite coffees ever sourced. Tasting Notes: Turkish delight, milky oolong, pineapple berries Roast Type: Filter We roast weekly to order, with shipping every Thursday and Friday. Nestled in the lush foothills of Mt. Kenya, the Kii Coffee Factory in Kirinyaga County has been producing exceptional coffee since 1995. Run by the Rungeto Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS), it unites over 850 smallholder farmers, each tending less than a hectare with about 250 trees per farm. Cherries are grown at 1,310–1,900 m, where cool mountain air and rich volcanic soils allow slow, sweet ripening. Only the ripest, densest cherries make it to the factory, with a dedicated Cherry Clerk ensuring quality. After pulping, beans ferment 16–24 hours, are washed in Kii River waters, and soaked 12 hours to enhance clarity and sweetness. Parchment dries slowly on raised beds for about 14 days, raked regularly and protected from heat and moisture, producing coffee with depth and brightness. These AA-grade beans—the largest and most uniform in Kenya—deliver a consistently clean, juicy cup. Kii Coffee Factory and Rungeto FCS combine traditional care with modern precision, crafting vibrant, complex coffees that reflect Kirinyaga’s rich heritage Our Head barista didn't say much on this one.... We just heard him SLURPING away all morning, on this brew. We roast weekly to order. Shipping takes place every Thursday and Friday. Order before Tuesday to ensure delivery within the week.
